get error "gaggle port already in use. Exciting.." when try to launch

My undestanding of the netstat output that the default port is Ok
rstats:/home/data/download/R-patched # netstat -anp|grep :1099
tcp 0 0 :::1099 :::*
LISTEN 28475/rmiregistry

I have Java 1.6 JNLP plugin on SUSE x86_64

Hi Vlad,

Sometimes the boss fails to give up port 1099 even though the UI of the boss has been shut down. 

Try killing all java processes or logging out and back in.
