Hi All,

In a push to release the alpha version of the gaggle, there have been
a bunch of changes to it (mostly under the hood).

If you are not using the alpha version of the gaggle, I urge you to do
so; it will help us find bugs and enable us to release quality
software. You can find out about the alpha version here:
http://gaggle.systemsbiology.net/2007-04/

If you are already using the alpha version of the gaggle, you should
do the following:
-Reinstall the Firegoose according to these instructions:
http://gaggle.systemsbiology.net/2007-04/#firegoose
-Reinstall the R goose according to these instructions:
http://gaggle.systemsbiology.net/2007-04/#R

If you don't do this, you may experience compatibility problems
between geese.

If you are still having trouble, you may want to clear your Java Web
Start application cache. If you don't know how to do that, contact me.

There will probably be further changes (at least to the R goose)
before we
release the new gaggle.

Thanks and let me know if you have any issues. If you uncover a
reproducible problem, please file it here:

For those developers wondering what has changed, you can download the

Hello everyone,

We had to make a very small change to the Gaggle API in preparation
for releasing it. If you are using the Firegoose or the R goose, you
will once again need to follow the instructions below. We apologize
for the inconvenience but hope you will continue to use this new API
and help us find any lingering problems.

Thanks
Dan
