Hi Gaffer devs,
First off, hats off for such an amazing tool. We've been working with it on and off for various pipeline tasks the last few years. Automation and scalability for our small studio first and foremost.
We're now in early prep for a creature feature, and would love to ditch Blender and do all of our rendering in Gaffer Cycles. It feels mature enough that we would like to try and do layout and lighting in it.
We've however hit three major roadblocks straight out of the gate.
* VDB crashes with Cycles
* Normal maps don't work (tangent space)
* Light linking
There's some stability issues when changing shader parameters in the interactive renders, but they wouldn't stop us from working.
I understand Alex have been upstreaming and creating PRs for some of these issues, are there any chance they could be merged into main?
Unfortunately (for us) Im not versed in setting up a dev environment where I can merge and build our own versions yet.
Any love for Cycles in Gaffer? :)
