Will the shutdown of Google+ API break SimpleAuth?

With the upcoming shutdown of the Google+ API (https://developers.google.com/+/api-shutdown) will SimpleAuth continue to work?

Yeah, I saw the announcement too.

Not sure what the alternatives are. Besides, I'm not using Python for web apps anymore.

Anyone wants to take the package as a maintainer and find a way to make it work post G+ API shutdown?
