Hi Lilian - Good to know that you are receiving the emails. I have tried to clarify your query from what I know:

And I realised that for one of the Medicine buddha, the name was different in the blue prayer book at ABC puja on Sunday 14Nov10, ABC prayer books names him Shakyamuni whereas in the Sadhana on group discussion, he's referred to as Glorious King of Excellent signs.. are they the same Buddha?

The Sadhana that I sent out as an attachement is from FPMT which is the parent organisation of ABC Centre in Singapore. I also looked up the Essential Buddhist Prayers (EBP) - An FPMT Prayer Book sold by ABC. The difference between these 2 sadhanas is that in the EBP book, thae sadhana list 8 Buddhas (7 Medicine Buddhas and Buddha Shakymuni in the centre surrounded by the other 7). This is a much longer sadhana than the one I had sent all of you. Like I said before many times, there are many versions of the sadhana even from the same Gurus!
As to your question on who is "Glorious King of Excellent Signs" - this is not Buddha Shakyamuni but the first of the 7 Medicine Buddhas. So, thanks to you and for everyone's benefit, I am listing the Sanskrit names of all the Medicine Buddhas:
These 8 make the complete list of Medicine Buddhas. So I am not sure why Buddha Shakyamuni was left out in the FPMT prayer sadhana!

Good to know that you are thinking about being happy. You may want to look at why it would be selfish and how you would be causing someone else to be unhappy. While you findings are on the right track - for it to stick very well you need to know the why with clarity or as much clarity as possible......:-)
