Dear Dharma Brothers & Sisters,

If you have received and read my reply to Palani re discussion on HYT - PLEASE IGNORE MY EMAIL.

I apologised deeply that my simple email has caused much grief to some receivers who felt that those who were not initiated in HYT would be misled.  That was not my intention.  I only intended to write to Palani but without realising that my click 'Reply to' was sent to everyone under the Gaden Shartse Drophen Ling Study Group.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND UNDERSTANDING IN THIS MATTER.

WISHING YOU MUCH FRUITFULNESS IN YOUR DHARMA JOURNEY.

Best regards, Lavita

Hi Everyone,

I am sure that all of you are familiar with the Buddhist phrase "All
meetings end in parting".  Well, our compassional and kind Guru Dagyab
Rinpoche who has ben giving so many wonderful teachings, initiations
and pujas, shall be leaving for home tomorrow afternoon.  I would like
to take this opportunity to thank him for his incredible compassion
and patience in giving us all those blessings over the last 2 months.
In the current degenerate times, it is extremely difficult to come
across an authentic Guru, and in our case, one who can speak in
English!  So, let's count our blessings, rejoice and request fervently
that he comes back again and again and again to teach and bless us.

We also have full time Geshe-la now and he is going to continue the
lessons (with Mandarin translation) and that would be a great blessing
for those looking forward to attend the teachings.

On a similar note, I met many of you over the 3-day pujas at Suntec -
those who were not shy to come up and talk with me :-)  Thank you for
sharing your Dharma journey, your experiences and your interest in
continuing to learn.  Many of you wanted to know when we shall be
restarting our English discussion group.  I have passed the message to
Pei Pei and Karen who are organsing many activities for the centre and
they shall try to accomodate your requests.

It is also important to note that one of the causes for us to receive
Dharma teachings is our practice well and also our request to receive
such teachings.  If we wait for it to happen whenever, the chances are
that it might not, or when it does, we might not be able to attend
it.  In our daily meditation, it would be good to include our requests
for teachings and the ability to attend such teachings so that we
plant the right karmic seeds for our future.  On the other hand, do
not be disappointed or disheartened when you do not get the teachings
after you have requested it from the centre or in your meditation.  Be
patient, continue making requests, continue practising Dharma and you
will be surprised.  It is so rare to get teachings on Dharma that
there are many stories of the Buddha cutting off his body parts,
because he had nothing else to give, to receive teachings.  This is
not because the teacher needed the flesh but because the Buddha wanted
show how difficult and rare it would be to get those teachings (a bit
like how we queue up for a long time at our favourite shop to get the
chicken rice or chilly crab that we like so much :-))).

So, please do not stop making requests for Dharma teachings and
discussions everyday, even if you do not actually get it now, you
would be planting strong seeds for the future to benefit all sentient
beings.

Sarva mangalam!
