No, I haven't started it yet, although the answer to 9a jumped out at
me when I printed it off:

I bet that this will keep Myoarin quiet for WEEKS ...

Unless, of course, he cheats ...

However, I trust him implicitly, despite his admission that he deals
with Fences.

Nobody's perfect!

"THAI"?

Even if it that is correct, I will be silent for the next three weeks,
starting tomorrow.

Speculate!

Gotta lay low in Baghdad.

Ah, yes, Baghdad!

That reminds me of my recent visit there to celebrate the 50th
birthday of - oops - I've forgotten who!

However, I do recall the date: May 1, 2008.

I also recall seeing (from what little I could see) what appeared to
be an attractive local woman wearing a pink veil.

I also noticed that she was walking six paces behind a man who was
evidently her husband.

'Excuse me', I said in my best Swahili, 'But why do you walk six paces
behind your man? Surely, since your beautiful country has been
liberated by those caring Americans, you are now their equal?'

She tapped a lump on her veil which I assumed was her nose and
replied, 'Land Mines ...

You see, behind every man there is a smarter woman.'

So, there you go, Inshallah!

"... forgotten who."

That is the third time you've recently used the wrong case. Tut
tut! "Forgotten whom", please.

I presume that "THAI" is correct, else I would have been shot down for
the suggestion.

Good joke, however.

Cheers, Myo

Really, Myo, I have truly forgotten who or whom or what it was.

I guess that we had all drunk too much Iraqi Ouzo.

But what a night!

Second honeymoon!

Neither Iraq nor 2nd honeymoon. (My wife got a new hip a couple of
weeks ago, but the clinic had a sheet in the bedside table for the
best way to celebrate, depending on gender of the patient.)

And...?

How do you celebrate a second hip?

In a way that doesn't overstrain the muscles or tend to dislocate the
new parts.

I hope you don't want me to try to reproduce the line drawings -
three for each gender, nothing unusual ...

Hip-hip hooray?

It's like one potato, two potato... , only faster.
