Hi Miro,

I want to know the number of beacon requests to our beacon from the network, and try to count accesses from beacon-network.org (i.e. 20.81.197.104.bc.googleusercontent.com) in our beacon/web server logs.

1. Is that a right way? If not, could you tell me that?

2. Is the IP address above be changed sometimes?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Nobutaka

Hi Nobutaka,

that’s the way to go. 104.197.81.20 should be a stable IP. We don’t expect to change it any time soon, but if we do, we’ll post an update to this list.

By the way, the Beacon Network also sends you details about the original issuer of the query in the Forwarded header as per RFC 7239, if that’s of interest to you.

Cheers,
Miro
