Hello dear delegates!

After this awesome GA in Valladolid, we hope all of you have arrived well at home so..... It's time to prepare all your tickets and send them to: ga13-trav...@bestspain.es

I am going to remind you all the things are needed in order to receive the 20% of your tickets =)

• Bookings from flights: It is necessary that your name and the amount paid is clearly shown
  
• Boarding passes: It is necessary to have both, from the way here and back home
  
• Bus, Train or Boat tickets: Again, it's necessary that price of ticket and your name is shown

So to make this process easy I need that you send ALL tickets and ALL booking flights just in one email, writing clearly your

name, LBG and the itinerary you followed in order to the fact that I can check quickly that you didn't forget anything.

Finally, DL for sending everything is: 12th of May 2013

How exactly will the refunded money be transferred back to us? Do we have to send some bank account information as well?

Hello all =)

There are many of you who have already written me asking the same so as all of you are reading now this email I am going to explain you the current situation.

At the end of September and before Deadline, we sent all documentation required, if you have received before a Youth in Action grant, you will know that after the event, you have some months to prepare and send the final documentation (papers explaining how the event was, budgets, bills, your tickets...etc) so now we are waiting for the result of that and until we don't receive an answer saying that everything is ok we are not going to receive the money neither for other parts of the grant (not only the refund of your tickets). 

The experience tells us that it is not something quick because the Agency has many projects to check and our is specially long as you can imagine.

Our idea is giving you back the refund as soon as we receive all of the money. So we will send you an email explaining how the process to receive it will be. 

I hope all of you understand the situation, it's not something which depends on us.

Hi!

Any news on the YiA grant? I'm getting a little curious as my LBG was involved when LBG Kaunas got the YiA for our CE the week after the GA in April/Mai 2013, and we got more than half a year ago. Also, shouldn't there be a deadline, I can hardly believe this process has an open end...
Also I looked through the announced successful projects under [1] and I couldn't find the GA...

It has been almost 1 1/4 years now, I'm ok if you tell us we can't give us travel refunds; but I'm not ok with this issue not being closed... :/

I would be grateful for any answer - positive or negative

Sorry first of all for not having informed all of you enough during these months but really the information has come really slowly. 

Last week, we received an email confirming that we will receive the money but the truth is that still we do not have it, it will take at least 2 or 3 weeks until they send a confimation letter by post that we have to sign and send back again. At the same time, we internally are preparing how we are going to give you back the money and the quantity according to the boarding passes we received from you. 

You will receive news soon and hopefully the money as well, but please understand that until we do not receive by an official media that this money is in our bank we can not proceed.

Thanks for the update. If I may suggest a mean for passing money it would be PayPal. The fee is around $0.3+2.2% of transaction which is OK in my POV.

Hello Michal and all GA13 community,

 In name of all GA13 team and as responsible of YiA grant for Ga2013 Valladolid, I would like to answer to this email in a public and clear way in order to avoid misunderstandings and give you all a bit better transparency of the process of giving the refunds, which has already been successfully completed.

I would like to summarize the process we followed and the different emails we sent:

 · On 29/4/2013 an email: “DL for sending tickets and boarding passes of GA” was sent. In this email the process to receive the 20% of your tickets was explained. This email was sent to absolutely all GA 2013 delegates and the DL to send this documents was 12/05/2013.

Everyone who didn’t send their documents 100% correctly before this DL were not further taken into account.

 · On 20/08/2014 another email: ”It is time for REFUNDS” was sent to all people who sent their documents 100 % correctly and before DL as explained in the other email  (“DL for sending tickets and boarding passes of GA).

​​This email was sent after the payment of  Y​iA grant to LBG Valladolid took place and there, we requested the payment information. 

ALL delegates who provided this information before the given DL have already​ received the money.

In your concrete case, Michal:

I have reviewed everything carefully, lists, excels files, spreadsheets, emails and I do not have any information from you.

​We never received any document from you. Therefore you were not choosable for refund and you were not included in the group who received the second email.

In conclusion, even though it took a long time, LBG Valladolid put a lot of effort to complete the very complex process of managing this grant, getting the report approved by YiA, receiving the money and sending it to delegates. We believe that an LBG providing refund to participants of a GM is a very rare case, if not unique. We did our best to achieve it and we are proud that every delegate who put the effort to give us the information on time has received long ago his/her money and many delegates in this list can confirm this information. All those of you that couldn´t receive the refund, it is surely due to one of the reasons described above and, in any case, you find yourselves in the usual situation of any other GM.

Therefore, we would appreciate if further comments are addressed in private or, at least, don’t carry the suggestion that LBG Valladolid didn’t fulfill his promise, because that is not the case.
