Friends,

We are thrilled to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2025 Public Voices Fellowship on Technology in the Public Interest, an initiative of The OpEd Project supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

Rapid advancements in technology, including the transformative impact of artificial intelligence across sectors, necessitate that different and emerging thought leaders contribute to the public discourse, including sharing societal and ethical considerations. The Public Voices Fellowship on Technology in the Public Interest is a year-long program designed to elevate a wide array of expert voices shaping the conversation on the social impacts of technology.

Fellows will participate in convenings, build leadership skills and knowledge, and work alongside journalist coaches to ensure their ideas shape not only the field, but the greater public conversations of our age.

Apply by September 25, 2025

Take care,
