This meeting aims to contribute to the build up of the anti-racist voice in this
country. We need to make a public stand against the racism of Ukip, the
pandering to their scapegoating of immigrants that the UK Government and
other politicians are guilty of and the fascination the media have with
them. They are playing with fire.
We demand to be heard too and we believe that when people are presented with the facts and given campaigning leadership, we anti-racists are the majority and can stop Ukip and turn the tide against racist politics.
Speakers confirmed so far:
This date is the 66th anniversary of the founding of the NHS and the Peoples Assembly Scotland are encouraging supporters to organise and take part in events in support of the NHS on July 5th.
One of the events being organised is a Solidarity Gathering in Support of the NHS between 2pm to 2.30pm in Buchanan Street Glasgow across from the TGI Friday restaurant.
This will be an informal event and people are encouraged to bring banners and placards in support of the NHS.
