Saturday April 26, 9 am – 1 pm: Permaculture Park volunteer session
The Permaculture Park is located at Conley Park, between the Sciencenter and Neighborhood Pride grocery store. A group of staff from Cornell Cooperative Extension and neighborhood volunteers are working together to develop edible plantings in the park, including fruit and nut trees, fruit bushes, and edible perennials. On Saturday April 26 we will be planting fruit trees, adding more mulch to the beds, putting up caging to protect the new trees and shrub from deer and rabbits, and labeling the edible plants in the park. Join us on Saturday if you are interested in learning more about permaculture or harvesting food from a local park in future years,
