My goals for this year are to ride some different roads. I felt a bit in a rut last year. Who would be interested in riding some of the outlying areas? I would like to try to schedule once a month realizing that all would not happen. I would try to keep the drive <1.5hrs (Lexington being a bit further but worth it)  Areas I would suggest:

Adams county (or east)
NKY
Shawnee
Southern IN
Lexington

I'd also be interested in doing a long weekend somewhere ( North Carolina, Michigan)

Need to have Paul’s lake house on the list. Closer than many of the ones on your list and low traffic routes.     He has multiple routes from his house.

How about a great weeks vacation in the San Diego area.  East county hills and mountains make for some wonderful low traffic cycling.  Or, just cycle the coast and enjoy the beautiful ocean vistas.  Only 4 hours to get here!

Ride safe!

For those into MTB I'm planning a 7 day trip to Benntonville which is essentially a $200 million dollar/400 mile MTB Disneyland based in NW, Arkansas.   No MTB? No Problem.  There are plenty of shops in Bentonville that offer premium MTB rentals (Acoustic and Electric).  To get the most out of your 7 day trip it's advisable to rent a premium Electric MTB  ($120-150 per day) for at least some of those days to avoid exhaustion.

Dates under consideration are sometime during  August/Early September but not Labor Day weekend to avoid the higher pricing.

Retro out.

I thought Pauls place was in adams county. All routes all welcome as long as we have ridden it < 50x. I was thinking of picking  a standing weekend, say last Saturday of the month.

As for a multiday riding out west, thats is a  goal also. I would be up for organizing a trip if there is interest. The gym bike has some beautiful routes that have gotten me interested.  The last one i tried was the lost coast.

Hey Fred,

Are you talking about that ass-kicking Swamis' Ride out of RIDE Cyclery?

Hell, that A group wears my ass out just watching them on YouTube!

Nah.. they are too fast (and young) for me. But, if you come I will for sure map out some great rides.
