Homie just pulled the trigger on the ZOOZ Ultra Flex Urban Assault Bike.
This ride has a 750 watt hub drive motor powered by a 52 volt/25 Ah battery and when unlocked can achieve speeds over 30 mph.
Also on order is a Handlworks plug and play aftermarket controller and display unit. Once installed, the Ultra Flex can achieve speeds of approx 40 mph. On the display you can switch from Class 2 (20 mph) up to OCEV (Out-of-Class Electric Vehicle) mode.
Seeing that the Ultra Flex appears as a Class 2 bike rather than an E-Moto, it's not likely to draw the attention of the Po Po.
Recently while cruising at 25 mph on my Trek Class 3 E-Machine I've been dropped multiple times by Hooligans riding 1000 watt plus Long Boards. My acquisition of the ZOOZ Ultra Flex will put an end to that.
See link below for product description.

The ZOOZ can never be classified as a road legal Motorized Scooter because it lacks DOT safety certification and thus can't be registered or insured.FYI, the Class 3 E-Bikes that we've been riding are not permitted on any of the Shared Use Trails owned and maintained by the State of Ohio. Only Class 1 and 2 are permitted. This link clarifies this: https://littlemiamistatepark.org/2-uncategorised/192-safe-trails-it-s-electricIn short, we are already riding illegal. But as long as I'm being passed by Electric Long Boards and Electric Fat Bikes throttling at 30 plus mph, I don't have a problem riding any sort of E-Mobility device legal or otherwise so long as I'm not doing wheelies, standies, etc.Retro out.
