The Continental Speed King is the tire I use on my full-rigid titanium MTB bike when not riding on dirt.  It works extremely well on pavement as well as on the non-pavement sections of the Kingwood CX course.

Formerly part of Continental's XC collection, it is now promoted as a Jump Line/Pump Track tire.  It is offered in 26 x 2.2 as the Speed King tire.  

This exact tread pattern is also available in Continental's Gravel Tire collection as the Terra Hardpack in 27.5 or 29 x 50mm:
