Dear Friends,
Thank you to those of you who joined the Off Season Bike League Ride last Saturday. It became clear to me during the ride the some of the G4Bers hadn't gotten the full 411 on the ride. Sorry. That is on me for not being a better communicator. To avoid that, I am posting the ride and the details here. We are trying a new route this week that avoids leaf covered trails. We also included a cutoff version in case your don't feel up to the long 72 miler. Hope to see you out there.
The long route is here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53276937. And the shortened version is here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53276640. This ride is on Strava Clubs: https://www.strava.com/clubs/1807932. Hope to see you out there. We had 28+ riders last week. -S
Ride #5 - Responding to feedback from last week, we (actually Chip) created a new route (72 mi) that avoids bike trails. There will be a gas station stop in Fayetteville at about the halfway point. We also created a cutoff route for those who want to go shorter (46 mi). That route is posted as a separate Club event, but we will all roll out together. Since the temps should be in the mid 50's moving up to the 60's, I slid the start time to 9:30 AM to give people a little bit more of their Saturday afternoons back. Please download the route you would like to do. The split happens just before we get into Fayetteville. I will try to keep the ride together until that point. After that, the long ride becomes a 'no wait' ride so that we can maintain a steady and consistent pace. Winter pace is highly encouraged and Sean will maintain that. If you want to go faster you are welcome to, but please communicate your desire and make a clean break off the front.
