Homie found yet another way to break out of the Road Cycling rut.
Expanding on the XCP concept (which is largely concentrated around the Landen CSA trail system) Mason SUP takes in a much larger portion of the Mason Shared Use Pathway Network.
The Mason SUP Assault Ride is for riders of Class 3 E-Machines (28 mph) who want a tarmac Rally Car experience rather than your typical road ride on the country roads east of Loveland.
Included in Mason SUP are "Special Stages" such as winding, twisting topographic features found at the Mason Community Campus, Voice of America Park, Heritage Oak Park and the Mason Sports Park. These "Special Stage" sections were a blast to ride and bring out the unique capabilities of high-end Electric Road Bicycles.
Connection the "Special Stages" are the many "Liaison Sections" located throughout the City of Mason. With an Electric Road Bike you can quickly accelerate out of the hole and then maintain a fast pace while in "Transit Mode" to the "Special Stages."
Acoustic Road Bikes are also welcome on these rides provided the rider is of "A" or "B+" fitness level. The goal of Mason SUP is to ride fast and to keep the momentum going.
The surface you will find on Mason SUP is 95% smooth and sealed asphalt. On today's reconnaissance ride I was amazed at how fast that sealed surface was.
Currently, Mason SUP is in the concept stage as it will prolly take months for the word to get out to interested Class 3 riders. I'm thinking by this Fall we could prolly get 4-5 riders total.

Retro out.
