Announcing VORBA, a new Vintage MTB national organization

Now cometh VORBA (Vintage Off Road Bicycle Association) a new national MTB organization that will be conducting Vintage Bike Racing and Concours de Elegance bike shows at major MTB events throughout North America.

The 1'st event will occur at the Specialized Cactus Cup race near Phoenix, Arizona in March of 2026.

Rules are as follows:  1999 and earlier mountain bikes, 26" wheels only (no exceptions), period correct components (or aftermarket conforming components).

No Resto-Mod 10 speed and above 1 X Transmission conversions allowed.

Cassette Cog Range: Anywhere between 11 and 32 teeth.

No Tire Sealant allowed.

Open Components:  Saddles, Pedals and Tires. 

Competition Rules:  No Pitting allowed, No Wheel or Component Exchanges between riders allowed during the race.

As the VORBA expands Eastward,  I will be actively looking to recruit USA Cycling Cat 1 (MTB) licensed racers (Male or Female) to ride my size Medium titanium hard tail bikes in the VORBA Vintage Open class.  I will cover entry fees, riders will cover logistic and lodging.  Candidates interested in racing my bikes are welcome to message me.
