Hi be.well volunteers! It’s time for our
annual swim
camp and bike
camp!
Scroll to the bottom of the
email for flyers and registration links. We cannot wait to have fun with you this summer!
In these one week camps, we focus on helping
kids with chronic or complex medical conditions become safer and more confident in the water and on their bikes.
Camps are structured to include group-based
practice every day for a week.
Sessions are 45 minutes long (swim) and 75 minutes long (bike) and run from early morning through midday, Monday through Friday.
Swim camp will be June 22-26 at The
Clermont County YMCA.
Bike camp will be July 13-17 at Xavier
University Health United Building.
Volunteers will be asked to:
- attend a volunteer orientation session or watch
training videos on spotting swimmers and/or cyclists
- physically assist participants who are learning
to swim and bike
- support set up and tear down of sessions
Note: Volunteers must be at least 15 years of
age.
Volunteers will be well supported by licensed
physical or occupational therapists from CCHMC and the team of experts from be.well (swim camp) and iCan Shine (bike camp) who will lead all instruction. Rest easy, you will be well supported!
To sign up, please click the button below
to be taken to Active, our registration software. We strongly encourage volunteer participation in more than one signup
slot (e.g. signing up for back to back sessions, or coming at the same time on consecutive days).
The kids we serve are helped by predictable things like seeing the same faces.
Swim and bike are most basic childhood rights.
Let’s work together and make sure they belong
to everyone.
