3ds object size

I wonder why it happens - when I load 3ds-model from "data-pack" it
appears in program with very small size (... much more smaller than
"defaults" models in demos/models... Could somebody explain it?

I think it's just that there is no commonly accepted scale. 1 unit in
computer world space could be 1 inch, 1 centimetre, 1 foot, 1 meter, 1
mile, 1 Kilometre or it could just be 27.23 cm. There is no default
scale, so each designer chooses their own scale, which is why you'll
find models of a wide range of scale, but normally all models from one
place/designer are scaled to the same amount.

Note that ArticulatedModel takes optional arguments to make it easy to rescale on load.
