  to G1 Androids Annonymous
I bought the G1 about a week ago because I want seamless integration
with my Google contacts, e-mail, and calendar.
Pros:
1. Integration with Google apps with no third party synch software
needed.
2. Android is open source and so has vast potential for integrated (no
glitch) apps in the coming months.
3. Amazon MP3 store (but the G1 battery life is so short, I'm thinking
I'm just going to stick with an iPod).
4. Touch screen is not multi touch, but it works perfectly (I don't
get skipping, hesitation, or any other problems).
5. Free accessories make this a good value.
6. Solid keyboard.
Cons:
1. The screen feels like it is going to fall off at any minute when it
is flipped up.
2. You have to flip the screen up in order to write (virtual keyboard
should definitely be a priority).
3. But you still touch links on the screen when it is up (every push
you feel like you are that much closer to the opened and unsupported
screen snapping off).
4. Thick
5. Feels like it is about the slip out of my hand (especially when I'm
flipping the screen open.
6. GPS always has me two blocks north of my actual location (tech
support says most people are off by a couple of miles? I assume there
is a software fix in the works.).
7. No ToodleDo app (but that's ToodleDo's fault).
8. There is a mouse, keyboard, buttons, and touch screen. This might
be a nice set of choices. But there is *no choice,* you have to use
all of them to navigate.
9. Because of the slide out keyboard, there is no nice wrap around
casing that would improve my grip and add protection.
Get rid of the keyboard already!!!
If you rely on Google for organizing your information, I think this
phone is the way to go. If not, the iPhone is probably better.
