I found that my battery life improved a lot after I forced a full
cycle of the battery every day for a week. This helped to break in
the battery and to calibrate the battery meter.

in the evenings I used my g1 until it actually ran out of power and
shut off. It usually had a good bit of power even after the battery
meter got to 0. The first couple days, I watched youtube for 30+ mins
after it told me I was out of power. After I ran it out of power, I
gave it a full night charging.

After a week of this power conditioning, my battery life is much
better than it was at first. Still not quite as good as I would
like.... but improved.

Also, check out the Power Manager app. It helps disable power wasting
features at different charge levels.

hope this helps

Mike
