Dear g0v,

I hope that you are doing well.

My name is Lucille Reynaud and I am writing to you as an intern within LabGov (LABoratory for the GOVernance of the city as a Commons) co-directed by Pr. Christian Iaione, professor of Urban Law and Policy at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome and Pr. Sheila Foster, professor of Public Law at Georgetown University. I am participating in an exploratory research project carried out within the LabGov which aims at building a database of case studies reflecting urban initiatives, practices and policies fostering urban commons governance. You will find a brief history of LabGov here and the explanation of the Co-Cities project here and here.

As part of the research team, I am indeed interested to gain a deeper understanding of your projects, missions and methodology, and the outcomes of g0v summits as I think it could contribute to enriching our analysis. I hope you will be willing to help me by answering some questions through a Skype interview (with a duration estimated to be 1/1:30 hour). However, as an alternative, you can fill out a written questionnaire. Please do let me know what option fits best with your agenda.

The results of this analysis will be included in the Co-Cities Open Book (last version downloadable here).

Although I realize this request will need some of your precious time, I believe that your projects and city of Taipei in Taiwan deserve appropriate consideration in our research and publications. Should you require any further clarifications, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Warm regards,

Lucille Reynaud

Dear Lucille,

Thank you for your email and interest in g0v :)

It is g0v’s community consensus that:

1. g0v is a decentralized, poly-centric community without singular representative
2. interviews and research questions about g0v should be conducted via a public shared note

Please help us to safeguard our community consensus, to promote open collaboration, and to minimize over-representation.

Here are some guidelines to start a public shared note for your questions. https://g0v.hackmd.io/s/HyzE3uY9X
