Dear Sir,
I herewith attached the revised estimated budget.
Several modifications were made to the budget and a summary is given below.
1. Reduce the number of loop enclosures(mats) up to 2 instead of 8.
This is to keep the cost of mats as low as possible,as we discussed earlier,as it is the largest
contributor to give a huge budget and which makes the budget to go
beyond the refundable level.
By doing so we expect to develop two detector units(induction loops) and by using those two mats, we expect to explain at the demonstration the detector layout. (Explain how rubber like material can be used in this process by demonstrating with the mats we have).
Here the rubber mat's purpose is to provide protection against any damage to the conductor cable because of vehicles passing over it
Therefore we can obtain normal detector operation even without the mats.
Our idea is to demonstrate with two detectors with rubber mats and the remaining six detectors without rubber mats (with only the detector cable).( 2 detectors per lane x 4 lanes = 8 detectors in total ).
2.Removed several components
Detector microprocessor (6 units)
Detector RF modules ( 7 units)
Loop enclosures "mats" (6 mats)
Controller Microprocessor
The reason for removing these items is that, we already have purchased these items through e-bay but, the university does not refund any items purchased through e-bay.
Please be kind enough to pint any corrections that has to be made.
Thank you.
