MIAMI Marathon - Best Deal in Town 1/28/2007

Have you ever considered the Miami Marathon as a warm up for Cowtown?
How about a starting temp of 60 degrees warming to 70 degrees by race
end. The last 4 years, starting tempretatures have ranged form 51
degrees to 70 degrees.

How about a stroll around South Beach? It's a fast course since both
Miami and Miami beach are at sea level. A few bridges with minor
elevations, but it's not like going up 7th street or summit.

Sound good, what if you could do for a couple hundred (plus late
registration @$95)?

Here's the deal, I just booked a flight to Fort Lauderdale non-stop
round trip on American for $118 plus fees. Fox has cheap car rentals.
I'm going out on the first flight Saturday and coming back on the first
flight Monday. I won't even miss work.

BTW - The Race is closed when they hit 12,000 runners. Aparently, they
have not hit the cap. Also, the AA rate is into Fort Lauderdale (25
min North of the Highway to Miami Beach and the Convention Center).
You can fly out of Miami for $40 more as of today.
