How to display Latest News and Popular Events

I need your help quickly.

connected my website to the Fwix API and I am able to view the
category list and all that. So can you please let me know that how can
I display Latest News and Popular Events on my websites like here
http://fwix.com/la.

Please help me as it's on high priority for me.
