I just love craft ideas for which I can take all the credit and ownership, but I also love trying my hand at all the clever DIY projects floating around in cyberspace. What would we do without Pinterest? And I especially like this clever paint chip calendar.
After you add a date chip, it shows on the doc for all collaborators in the language of the person who added it. Date chips will appear the same to collaborators in all time zones. To see how far away the date is relative to your time zone, hover over the date chip.
Tip: If the calendar event has a video meeting and is starting soon or has started already, you can join the video meeting from your Google Doc. Click the Calendar event chip, then at the bottom right, click Join.
Step 2: Writing on card stock with the thick Sharpie chisel top markers and Sharpie finepoint markers, we wrote the month and days of the week, and days of the month onto the paint chip pieces. I arranged the colors in a column from lightest to darkest. Then I cut a piece of poster board the same size as the glass. I wanted to hang the board vertically, so the calendar is at the top and I had room for memo boards underneath. After doing a little bit of math I decided that cutting the paint chips to 1 3/4 of an inch wide would let me fit all seven days on the calendar.
This also meant that most of labels for the paint colors were cut off too, and on the final calendar there are only a few paint chips with a few characters on them. My rotary trimmer made this very easy, because I was able to measure the paint chips as I trimmed them.

Insert smart chips & building blocks in your Google Doc doesn't mention anything about other calendars than the user calendar so it's look that what you are looking to happen is not a supported feature.
1. The paint chips will vary depending on where they are from. Gather the colors you want for your calendar and cut them into 42, 1.5 x 2.5 inch rectangles. 2. Cut your poster board to fit the 16 x 20 in. frame.
Flip the frame backing over and lay out the paint chips in a preferred order. If you'd like for the paint chips to be evenly spaced, use a ruler to define your spacing. Make sure to leave enough margin for the month and day labels.
