So after my show this past saturday I noticed a sharp shooting pain in
my lower back that then shot into my hips. I woke up Easter morning
and could barely walk. During the 2 hour drive back to D-town, I had
plenty of time to try and think what was the most painful bump I ever
took?

So my new topic for nostalgic discussion is what was you most painful
bump?

Worst planned bump- the triple table at D2D2

Most painful botched spot- Lukewarms reverse headscissor that broke
my neck

ok so lets have at it

worst planned bump- Violent JT wast to wrap a chair around my face, but he cracked it into my mouth knocking my front tooth loose. It took almost two years for the tooth to set back in place

Most painful botched spot - Two years later, Violent JT was to slap me in the face, but he punched me in the mouth and knocked the same tooth loose. It has been loose for the last 6 years. I have not been able to eat an apple or corn on the cob since.

P.S. This is a perfect opportunity for Triple X to "one up" my story.

Most painful planned spot: The whole match against Bad Attitude

Most painful botched spots: Mr. V coming in a the wrong angle on the
pizza cutter and breaking my face. The picture that Mrs Shooter got
made it worth it though.

Also, Roadrage locking his legs around my arm during the turntable so
I couldn't get it free and ended up doing a half cartwheel and landed
with my head on top of his body.

I'm only going to say sorry once because I'm sure that I hurt everyone
I wrestled.
I'M SORRY!

Most painful botched spot: Mine came while practicing for the epic 3-
way-dance between VJT, Black Cat and I. This was in the backyard
days, so we were working on mattresses in VJT's yard, and, while
DDT'ing Jook, I landed with my tailbone right on the sharp part of a
spring. Sure, it sounds like a wussy botch (which, I suppose, is
appropriate for me), but that still hurts me a few times per year.

Most painful planned spot: I really don't have one of these, since I
pretty much quit wrestling when all you scary people with your "moves"
joined up. I do never tire of mentioning that Dr. Itzelf's stubble
gave me a nasty case of rugburn at Kickin' Asphalt, so I guess I'll
just bring that up again.

I vaguely remember having both jim and zero fall on my face from a
double suplex we were doing for a match at Hastings. Yeah, that hurt a
lot.

Then there's my hip pain I still occasionally get that's caused from
me falling at of the ring at d2d2. Neither of the planchas, thank you,
but when missed but in the corner and fell out of the ring.

Yay for being young, foolish and not thinking about the potentially
horrible things that could happen to you.

My stubble is one of by best defense mechanisms.

Botched: VJT again. He was giving me a Dew Drop kick and kicked me in
the chest like planned... and in the throat... not like planned.

Planned.. I didn't have a lot of really painfull planned bumps... but
the whole Kickin' asphalt match hurt like crazy on the white-hot ring
mats... so I'll list that.

Excellent! Excelente!

I am not sure what, precisely, counts for what, as the two most
painful (and almost only painful) things I remember were both botched
spots in the sense that we did them wrong, yet planned in the sense
that we just did not know how to plan them correctly.

My first move ever performed during a show, at December 2 Dismember 1,
was on a run-in to attack Big Daddy. I double-choke bombed him, and
everything went fine, and it looked good, but I had not figured out
the logistics of how to drop Big Daddy on my legs without it hurting.
It hurt. I think for about four days.

My last match, hilariously enough, was the only other time anything
went horribly wrong. Bondage hit me with a tornado-DDT off the
turnbuckle, and I managed to land as much on my shoulder as my chest.
My shoulder hurt for quite possibly the next two or three months,
leading also to the hilarious problem in Ironman 3 where it genuinely
hurt to do bicep curls with the brick in the big training montage. I
was totally method acting.

Most painful planned bump: Either Zero's Death Valley Bomb at our
first match at Trouble in the Bubble where I landed very high on my
shoulders and we weren't quite used to the ring yet (thank goodness it
was the match's last bump) or a Tony St. James somersault tope at FU-
Mania where his boot caught the left side of the head, my ear, my neck
and my shoulder at once. Thankfully Mr. Vecellio was in the match and
not me so I could lay there and heal up.

Most painful unplanned spot: Mr. Nice Guy's headlock at the Frat
Show. That wasn't supposed to hurt. I think he was giving me a
receipt for putting together a horrible match on paper. Oh the things
I would change about that one.

Worst planned spot - Yeah throw me into that ladder I Flair bump. Then
I flipped over the top rope and onto the floor. I think it was at Beat
Down in P-Town. Then there was the creation #4 double submission where
Greg chocked me. And taking an Angel high kick to the throat.

Most painful bump - Mr. Nice Guy dropping me on my head picking me up
and slapping me in the face at the Frat Show. Rolling my ankle on an
Atomic Drop on Skitzo at the Black Box Theatre show.

I think those are the ones I remember.

Worst "planned" spot - The 4 realz spinning heal kick that fractured
my maxillary sinus in two places via Thee Anjel at the Quad
Demonstration. I'd like to see that on video once. And only once.
Luckily, I think having a sunken face is distinctive.

Could've been the death of me spot - Tombstone Pile Driver, Little
Bitch Johnson Style - Before we realized that wrestling might possibly
be dangerous. I'm not sure why I'm still walking.'

Most Painful Bump - Watching my commentary through the lens of 10
years.

i don't know what "bumps" or "spots" are, and never have, but i'm
sincerely greatful to be in the lead for inadvertantly hurting the
most people in the very lamest ways. GO FUCKING ME!!!

Well Mike, how in the world could I one up you... oh ya...

Worst "botched" (botched is in quotes because .. well you will see)
spot: During a ... free for all with four people in a small ring,
Lester was supposed to hit me with anything he could get his hands on,
including one of the Lounges barstools, and yes, even his plastic
shovel with a wooden handle. Well, that said shovel also had a
railroad spike sized screw holding the plastic to the wood that was
sticking out of the other side of the handle, and he inadvertently hit
me with it scraping my hair away and leaving me with a nice cut on the
top of my skull. Thankfully that did not hurt...

Hmm.. Worst planned spot.. ?? I don't know.. would someone like to
jog my memory?
Metalhead Mike Swafford throws me into my famous chair spot which the
crowd ALWAYS told me not to try.. and yes, shatters one of my teeth
directly into the audience and basically knocks me out for about 3
seconds in which after I came to my senses noticed a gritty feel in my
mouth and thus, awoke to the fact that I was in need of emergency
dentistry. BUT GOD WAS IT WORTH IT!

Ooh, this category is fun!

So my worst planned spot was a chokeslam from Entropy in the last show
at the interstate center. I'd taken chokeslams before, so we never
actually ran through the bump before the match. I failed to remember
that Drew is 17 feet tall and he was actually throwing me to my
death. Ow.

The worst failed spot happened in the same match, thanks to Drew not
realizing that he is large and awkward (yet still loveable...). I
went for a leg drop from the corner, which I landed squarely...And my
crotch landed squarely onto Drew's upturned elbow. Anyone who thinks
that crotch shots don't hurt women is crazy. Not only was this one
painful, but I had to pretend that I was okay since I was the one on
the offensive side of the leg drop.

The bump that still bothers me to this day was the first time
practising my suicide dive tornado ddt on dre in the FUWarehouse.
When we landed, my left knee landed off the mat, and it still hurts to
this day if it's raining or if I work out too hard. War wounds! Whee.

This came up in conversation and i forgot to give honorable mention to
the second charleston show when i gave luke the ass breaker legdrop
off the stage. I did this spot and missed at the first show, so at the
2nd show i hit him with it. I don't understand the logic to it, but
i can say that it hurt. i remember not sleeping much that night.

The owen chairshot surprisingly felt fine.
