J Interesting fact!!!! DEAR ALL, India's Total Population 118 Crores. Daily Death - 62389 Daily Birth - 86853 Total Blinds - 682497 If Daily Dead People Donate their Eyes, within 11 Days all Blinds will be able to See. Then in India there will b NO Blinds. Don't Delete this message without Sending At least to 1 Person KINDNESS Costs NOTHING.

Depends upon the cornea of the dead person. If it is intact & can be retrieved within 48 hours, then it is possible to give vision to others.

Other than that, it is not possible for everybody to donate. Simple thing is to register with Sankara Nethralaya to donate your eyes. If you communicate with them on a regular basis, then it is possible to donate eyes during demise.

Myself & my complete family have donated eyes & my dad has donated the complete body parts after demise. Question is, I do not know how much courage & logical reasoning someone will have to call up the hospital & discuss about eye/body donation once there is death in the family.
