The Project Management Manager is overall responsible for managing the project management resources that are actively fulfilling business commitments on behalf of Ericsson Inc in their respective region. This position is based within the given region of the USA where a significant amount of business activity is ongoing.
Key responsibilities of this position:
To manage the project management resources in the areas of Network Deployment to actively develop and improve the project managers' skills and competencies required to meet the Market Unit objectives in project performance & financials, customer satisfaction and individual development.
To ensure all relevant Project Management processes, tools and operational metrics are adhered to for all Site Development & EF&I projects.
To ensure that PM services within the Network Deployment arena are functioning at optimal levels within Services North America and that this area of our business is fully aligned with broader Project Management vision of being formally recognized both within Ericsson & externally within the Telecom Services Industry as a world class
Project Management organization.
Provide leadership to the project and program managers by motivating, guiding, developing and mentoring Site Development & EF&I PM staff.
Work with PM process team to help drive business process development and/or refinement, to improve overall delivery methodology for the Network Deployment Practice area
Build trust and credibility with customers and Key Accounts by delivering and achieving desired results. Ensure all commitments are met in accordance with project objectives.
Ensure that lessons learned and best practices are applied and project data is utilized to optimize project success.
Ensure proper staffing of regional projects (resource acquisition, resource scheduling and allocation).
Organize and lead matrixed project/program team as required.
Manage project team (includes motivation, competence development, performance reviews, establishment of goals and frequent communication).
Monitor quality standards, drive efficiencies for future projects and maximize success f the project utilizing contract information. Resolve conflicts and issues in a timely manner.
Measure, improve and build upon successes in Employee Satisfaction, including recognition and rewards.
Cost center responsible for regional Network Deployment PM Team
Reporting Structure:
The Project Management Manager will report to the Director, Network Deployment Programs within the Project Management Office (PMO) for North America who in turn reports to the Vice President, Project Management for Market Unit North America.
