We have FR 3.0.1 and we are attempting to track down some stability
problems.
I've noticed the FR itself will either slow down or stop sometimes.
I remember a while ago talk of a feature allowing FR to run on a
separate web server (ie, not hosting it's web server in the JRun
instance).
Is this available on 3.0.1?

FusionReactor Enterprise Monitor (FREM for short :-) ) allows you to
monitor the status of the application server from another machine or
running in a different instance, so that you can achieve high
availability on your FR monitoring services. We currently have that in
RC2, and you can find out more information here:
http://www.fusion-reactor.com/labs/FREM.cfm
This will allow you to know the status of the monitored application
server, but the issue still remains that if the application server is
becoming instable then information being sent to FREM from the agent
can also be affected. For this reason the log files contain the best
image of what really happened on a server when it became instable and
we are building a tool that lets you analyze those in great detail
called FusionAnalytics.

We're working really hard on FusionAnalytics and hope to have it into
beta soon, but if you are having issues now my recommendation would be
examine the FusionReactor log files. I know that they are cryptic to
read but they really contain a mine of information.
If you need help, feel free to post something to the groups and I
would also really recommend you take a look at http://www.cfconsultant.com/.
These consultants have a direct line to FusionReactor and the team
here. They honestly really know their stuff and I'm sure they can help
you.
Hope that helps,
Darren
