On my FA Application Summary page, I'm seeing input pending for "7470 files/0 bytes". Under the Current Applications this shows "No. Logs to Import = 7470" and "% Complete = 100".

I've cleared out the log files on the server to clean up the install and this still shows. Does anyone know where these log files might be? Or how to clear out the pending input count on the dashboard?

Thanks!

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your question.
  • Ensure you're running v2.0.4 of the application. On the application summary page, it should read "2.0.4" in the version column.
  • Click System->Runtime Info->Reset Stats from the FA DataCollector administrator
  • Restart the FusionAnalytics Service
The above actions should ensure you're seeing valid statistic details.

To give you some background, I believe the change was in v2.0.3 which reduced accuracy of the stats in favour of a good performance improvement.

Best regards,

Yes, we are using 2.0.4.

I reset the stats and restarted the services and it's still showing pending "7470 files/0 bytes". I also went into the Data Collectors config and checked the box for "Fusion Analytics should delete the content from saved DataCollectors" then clicked Modify. That didn't change the pending number either.

Thanks for the help.

Hello Michael,

It sounds like for some reason the internal DB has been corrupt or mis-aligned to the file-system - I've seen this happen before when you run out of memory.

You can reset this by:
  1. Stop FusionAnalytics service
  2. Delete entire \FusionAnalytics\Server\bin\FADC-SDB folder
  3. Delete contents of (but not actual folder) \FusionAnalytics\Server\data\fadc\Applications\fa4fr\work
  4. Start FusionAnalytics service
When FA starts up, it will re-generate the internal DB.

Note: If there are any partially imported files sitting the "work" folder; they will not be processed. However, as it sounds like you've already deleted all data out of the system; this should not be a concern for you.

Thanks again David.

I was able to get through this steps but my password to the DataCollector page doesn't work after deleting the "FADC-SDB" folder.  When I put back in my old version of the "FADC-SDB" folder, then my admin pwd works again.  Any idea how to reset the DataCollector page password?

Thanks!

Hello Michael,

The password should be reset to "admin" when the FADC-SDB folder is generated. However, as it seems you're destroying all the data anyway, you may find it simpler & cleaner to un-install & re-install FusionAnalytics.

We've moved into production now with the environment and we're still seeing the "input pending for 7470 files/0 bytes" in the DataCollector dashboard.  Is there anyway to clear this without losing any data?  If an uninstall/reinstall of the FA on the web server do the trick?  I think if the database remains untouched we should be ok, right?  What about the configuration changes we've made to FA?  It's not a huge deal to re-configure everything, but of course it'd be nice not to.

Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.
Can you check the FADC Application Summary page shows you're running v2.0.4?
Can you also try in FADC clicking on the "System -> Runtime Info -> Reset Stats" button?
Finally, can you also try restarting the FusionAnalytics Windows service and let us know if this clears your problem?

Best regards,
David Stockton

We're running v2.0.4.  I tried all of those options and just can't seem to clear out the "pending" and "No. Logs to Import" showing "7247".  The import is working correctly, but just can't get the numbers on the FADC to clean up.
