Hi,

Can I create fabric containers on windows? This document
http://fuse.fusesource.org/fabric/docs/fabric-ssh-containers.html says
'any unix environment' can be used for creating a ssh container. But,
is there a way to do it on windows?

Thanks,
Sudha

On windows you can always install containers manually and then join the fabric, using the fabric:join command.

When you want to create ssh containers, you actually need the following stuff:

i) sshd running
ii) java 1.6 installed
iii) gnu tar
iv) curl
v) bash shell

You may be able to get it working on windows if you install cygwin or something similar, but this is not supported or even tested, so you'd have to trailblaze it.
Feel free to share your experiences and we'll be happy to provide you with assistance.
