o Books –
§ Kathy will check with Wade Castle over at GEO if there are any stipulations with book donations. Let Jordan know so that…
§ Jordan will make a FB ask, maybe a note? And ask people to spread the word that they can drop books of at AFSC
o Dec Vigil –
§ Flyers available for out reach, Jordan will email something you can print
§ Piper will be on her own, Jordan y Gabriela will be at a work retreat in California. If you can help Piper out, she’s love that.
o FOIA? –
§ Shay will make the request for 911 calls from the GEO center after 12/15
§ The dates requested will be from when they opened the new site to the present.
o CIRC and ICE detainer policy stuff
§ We’ll be sharing with CIRC the fact that this group seeing the issues as very interconnected and wants to help in any way possible. (Jordan)
o Visitation training –
§ No one was able to make the Nov 16 training, but are looking into the next quarterly training. Arnie shared how great it is and encouraged us to attend. He also suggested that we talk with Sarah J about her thoughts on contact visits and whether that is something that we should consider advocating for. (sjac...@casadepazcolorado.org) After we catch up with her, perhaps we would look to see if anyone else has run a similar campaign for contact visits in other parts of the country.

· Consider an expose and close action at GEO
§ We took a look at the report and decided we wanted to bring copies to the Dec vigil and Saadia will make an announcement that if any faith communities or groups would like copies of the report where to find it.

§ We discussed the overlap in mission and expressed lots of support. Stop Detention Now folks would like to offer up support for the N1M table and assistance in sign making, event attendance and turn out and media help to the table. Jordan will let them know.
§ The SDN team will take a look at the letter Jordan is drafting regarding the court and give feedback.
§ The SDN team would also be interested in a N1M calendar if such a thing were to become available.

Heard this piece on NPR this morning on my way in and thought others might be interested - http://www.npr.org/2013/11/19/245968601/little-known-immigration-mandate-keeps-detention-beds-full.
Part of the #ExposeandClose campaign, along the same lines of the #Not1More/#Ni1Mas campaign, there is a week of action planned around the release of this report at different detention centers (especially the 10 most offensive).
