Judge Hanen of Texas - 😡aka the same guy who ended first time applications to DACA 2 years ago - just ruled against DACA and attempted to end the program once again.
Right now DACA renewals & Advanced Parole (AP) applications are still being accepted. But this new ruling continues to deny hundreds of thousands of DACA eligible youth the ability to receive DACA for the first time. Judge Hanen’s decision tells us that the future of DACA is once again in the hands of the Fifth Circuit, who has ruled against DACA before. The case may make its way to the Supreme Court again. But no matter what the court says, we know that DACA is right and legal.
