Hope I'm not stealing your thunder, Turrentwolfie. :) (I'd prefer
the lightning anyway....makes better photos.)

Every group has a post like this, so I figured I'd get one started :)

I'm Lothaekor, Canadian blue dragon, amateur photographer. I've been
shooting Nikon Digital for about 2 years now and have been enjoying it
much more now that I know what I'm doing. :)

My main outfit is a Nikon D80, which I use most commonly with a
16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 or a 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 telezoom. I also have a
105mm macro and a 50mm prime that I often use as well. (Sometimes both
at the same time :D) I've got two flashes, an SB-900 and an SB-600.
No monoblocs here, I'm probably going to keep to a strobist mentality
for now. (It's a bit cheaper and I don't have nearly the room
necessary for a studio. XD) My camera's normally in Aperture priority
mode, though when I have subjects where time is not a factor, I will
switch to manual.

I still haven't found myself a particular "niche" in photography that
I want to stick to; there's so many things that I want to try out.
However, I do enjoy a few types a bit more than others. Macro
photography (which is not about a giant camera rampaging through
<insert city here> ;) ) is one, and I've tried out a couple lesser
known techniques such as light painting which I enjoyed. Still not
confident enough to take pictures of people yet though, so my subjects
have either been inanimate or animals.

I'm a bit of a digital purist in my photography; I try to get it right
in camera and process the images as little as possible. (Usually only
a crop and slight colour adjustments.)

I've been posting my photos to my account at furocity
(lothaekor.furocity.com) but you'll need to have an account there to
see them. (The accounts are free though, and it's got the workings of
a good site :) )

So, that's a bit about me :) How about everyone else?

Hi all! The name's Ice Foxx, a red fox from southern Manitoba. I
produce electronic music, DJ, do some graphic design, and (of course)
take pictures. I've been shooting for about two-and-a-half years,
starting out with a Panasonic DMC-FZ30 and then moving on to a Nikon
D90 earlier this spring. I usually shoot with my 18-105mm f3.5-5.6,
but I also have a 50mm f1.4 prime and have a 70-300mm on order.

I shoot various miscellaneous things, and have dabbled in some IR
photography, but I don't really have a specific thing I shoot. There
are definite themes, abandoned houses/places, action figures, and me
in my fursuit, but that doesn't mean I won't shoot anything else!

You can find my photos
@ Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/icefoxx/ (nearly everything
that I consider "finished" is here)
@ Smugmug: http://andrewrf.smugmug.com/ (account for my non-furry
audience)

I'll also occasionally post photos to my FA ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/icefoxx/
) and to Furocity ( http://icefoxx.furocity.com/ ).

Turrent a simple wolf. Amature grade photographer.
I started out around 2000 shooting with my old sony p30
Did alot of around town shooting then starting to taking more centered
photos around some objects.
As i progressed to city life shooting minus any living targets. I took
photos from here and there. Well around
2003 I was introduced into the urban exploring thanks to a friend and
fennec. As i went along i started to get
more of desire for the decayed photography from various hospitals and
factories. And with fennec's help my
camera gear developed.

Currently i'm using a Nikon D40, Vivatar lens, An old Nikon 35mm to
80mm Lens. The Nikon lens has a 55 mm polarizer.

i don't really know how to make my own post, so i'm going to just
reply to the start of the thread. Hi, I'm Aiden Dingo a student
photographer. I go to Kansas City Art Institute for photography. I'm
in my foundation year so i don't have any photo assignments. I don't
really know what i'm going to specialize in, but currently i think of
myself as a fine art photographer. I have a shit ton of bodies and
lens and don't really have a preference. I only really use my digital
out of convenience most of the time, but of late I shoot mostly w/ my
Hasselblad 500 c/m w/ a film back, polaroid spectra, or my Holga 120
shooting 35mm slide film. As you can see that's a pretty hefty set up
for what i usually have on me and i'm pretty much a film freak. My old
photos can be seen on FA, but in all honesty I really need to get new
material......most of the photos on there are just dicking around w/
new processes; although, my whole portfolio is on there as well. I
would say i specialize in higher contrast, Black and White, wide
angle, medium format film.
