Hello all,

I am trying to increase the elevation of the bathymetric data to capture for a sheet pile wall. I was wondering if FUNWAVE has an option so that it takes a set of points as a "retaining wall" and block the propagation of the tsunami through that wall - without revising the bathymetric file?

If there is no option for that, it sounds I need to maunally find the closest grid nodes to the wall and increase the elevation of them to capture the wall. Now, my question is, does only one grid points across the width of the wall can be effective in the model to stop the tsunami, or I need to apply those elevations to a buffer zone in the grids; lets say a buffer zone of 2-3 grid poins across the width of the wall?

Please note that the model resolution is 10 m and width of the wall is in the order of cms.

I appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,
Soorush
