Port breakwater configuration

Dear all,

I’m currently performing tests related to wave reflection and absorption coefficients for port breakwaters using FUNWAVE-TVD.

I believe the model configuration is correct, and the results for the permeable breakwater case are ok.

At the moment, it has been somewhat challenging to model an impermeable breakwater with a dissipation area in front

The reflection values appear to be too high. Additionally, I can’t assign too large an area of influence to the breakwater, as it ends up affecting the cell located behind the impermeable wall.

Is there a rule of thumb for setting up impermeable breakwaters with dissipation zones to avoid such interference?

Also, could you recommend any additional reading or examples relevant to this configuration?
