Hello list,

I'm using the following ebuild for my kernel
sys-kernel/sysrescue-std-sources (2.6.35.210) 2.6.35.210!b!s
And I have built it with the binary use flag enabled.

Everything works fine except the alsa modules it uses, which have an
'unknown symbol' error message in dmesg. As can be seen in the attachment.

Would be nice if I could get alsa to play nice, any tips on how I'm able
to solve this?

Kind regards,

Tonko Mulder

Hi !

What does lspci -kvm shows ? Please run commands in your hard installed environment and after booting from SystemrescueCD live CD as well.

Do you experiment same problem when running your machine from SystemrescueCD live CD ? Make sure kernel of SystemrescueCD is at same version/level as the one installed on your PC. If you boot from SystemrescueCD with alter option, kernel version could be 2.6.39.

Sadly, I have a lenovo-T61 with intel-hda, and everytime I use
sysrescue-std as my kernel, I can not
get sound output. No sound module is compiled and no sound modules
loaded. Can anybody help me?
