to Funtoo
Hello,

Hello, me new to gentoo and probably will land directly to funtoo :)
My history/My requirements:

1. Build/install almost the same set of packages with slightly
different configuration on different platforms
2. Do that without having root rights
3. Install into non root directory
4. use git for configuration files
5. use the same packages on a custom system with root rights
6. on the latest system have a fast boot

I started to develop a set of scripts to do custom these custom
scripts, lot of time "lost" but learned a lot what package build/
management means. The I remembered that gentoo does sthg. similar.
Took the documentation, found that Gentoo is for me + Funtoo covers
git. However the following question still is unanswered for me:

Is it possible to do non-root dir and non-root user install with
funtoo?

Thanks in advance

Right now, no, this isn't something we do. It's an interesting idea,
though. What kind of stuff do you build and install non-root?
