Hi!

Just checking to see if I got this right? The last commit to FunnelWeb was over a year ago?

Cheers,

/Magnus

Hey Magus,

From our (main contributors) point of view, FunnelWeb as a blog engine is done.

With the rise of static blogs we felt it was not worth putting the effort into an extension gallery, theme gallery and other really nice to have features.

Thanks for the info. What do you mean by static blogs?

And maybe miniblog? By static do you mean blogs that don't use a database but instead use an (xml) file per post?

Yeah, pretty much anything that takes something in text and outputs html files, rather than building the files at run time

I can't understand. Blog is a dynamic thing. Why are you confusing with static contents? Blog might contain dynamic contents including articles that you don't change digging each html file. Also you don't add comments manually. Do you? Disqus is not everyone's option.

Aaron and I who were maintaining funnelweb have move on. I still follow the mailing lists and recently we added two people as core contributors. This is open source, if you would like to help maintain funnelweb then start with some small pull requests/issues/doco etc then we can look at you becoming a core contributor and help maintain it.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on how a blog should work. For Jake and myself FunnelWeb no longer aligns with our opinions.

As Jake said, FunnelWeb is open source, feel free to fork it, patch it, submit PR’s, etc.
