Hey there, as oil prices rise it is becoming more economic to mine the
tarsands in Alberta, Canada for bitumen to be processed into oil. I
have seen a TED talk by Paul Stamets, and was browsing and article on
radicalmycology.wordpress.com that described using mushrooms to clean
up oil spills and repair the soil. I'm just curious if it would be
possible to grow these mushrooms in the tarsands to convert them into
new habitats for wildlife before the oil companies tear the land
apart. Could the mushrooms destroy the oil before the oil companies
destroy the ecosystems and earth? Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob Kokesch
