[Getting Started Tutorial] FunF does not seem to run

Hello everyone,

I'm trying FunF for the very first time, so I'm following the Getting Started Tutorial on Github.
I created a simple application with a blank Activity, added the required permissions/service declaration in the AndroidManifest.xml file, and defined a default pipeline in strings.xml.
As I understood, this is sufficient to run (continuously?) FunF in background. For this reason, I didn't explicitly bound my application to the FunFManager and I didn't programatically registered a pipeline.
However, running the application I don't see any logs related to FunF in Logcat. In addition, no directory is created under /sdcard/<app_name>/ for the storage of the sensed information.

Am I missing something?
