Please find a funding opportunity from 3ie for research or impact evaluations. Deadline by 05 July 10.

 

The guidelines do not include the relevant sectors, but I’ve typed them out from the online application form for your perusal.

Measuring impact for effective policies: Launch of Open Window Round 3
Deadlines: July 5 for Expression of interest and August 13 for full application

To improve efficiency of development spending, the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) has launched a request for proposals (RFP) for quality impact evaluations. This RFP is the third round under 3ie's Open Window, which accepts proposals for the impact evaluation of social and economic development interventions in low and middle income countries in any sector. 3ie will award up to US$10 million in grants under this round.

Preference will be given to:

  • Evaluations of large scale programmes with high policy impact and include a clear communications strategy
  • Proposals with close partnership with the implementing agency
  • Proposals produced by developing country researchers and/or evaluators or through a partnership between developed and developing country partnership of research teams
  • Evaluation designs based on the theory of change underlying the programme with evaluation questions addressing the causal chain

How to apply through our new online grant application system

Researchers are first asked to submit an Expression of Interest by July 5 (11.59 pm Eastern Standard Time) through an online application system. Only teams whose Expressions of Interests have passed the first screening will be requested to submit a detailed application by August 13 (11.59 Eastern Standard Time)

Step 1: Register and log-in to the online application system: Online registration

Step 2: Complete online the Expression of Interest Form
Applicants will be able to follow the status of their applications throughout the process.
