There are dozens of games included in the deals, ranging from dedicated apps for the likes of Pandemic, Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride through to spin-off games set in the world of Warhammer, as well as digital board game sandbox Tabletop Simulator down to half price.
As well as discounts on individual games, there are a number of bundles based around themes such as adventure games or family-friendly board games that collect together some of the bigger names for an additional saving.
The Steam Digital Tabletop Fest sales run until the end of the event on October 26th. As well as the sale, the show also includes a number of demos for upcoming games and sessions with developers and designers of digital board games, including Wingspan creator Elizabeth Hargrave, Gloomhaven designer Isaac Childres and Call of Cthulhu author Sandy Petersen.
Wingspan is a competitive, medium-weight, card-driven, engine-building board game from designer Elizabeth Hargrave and Stonemaier Games. It is the 2019 winner of the prestigious Kennerspiel des Jahres award.

Every thing is nice except little interactions between players
I would like to recommend some house rules
1) tucking bird by predator
Instead of using cards in hand
player can hunt a bird from any one
player ( but it should be once in round)
2) round goals tiles must picked by each player when round begins so player can think about how to stop other players making more points by looking after where the other players are week
3) when rolling dice for outside the bird feeder we can steal food from opponents if they have 2 same types of food
A few months ago I bought wingspan and expansions. The base comes with the new card storage and I would like to know if I can get the old one. In European expansion comes the plastic one and it closes much better, plus it has a little more space for the cards. Thanks
I just open my new box of Wingspan, punched out all the tokens, shuffled all of the birds cards, built the tower, and started reading the instructions. It says each player gets two bonus cards, but I only got 5 in my box. Am I missing cards or a rule?
Thanks for getting Wingspan! There should be 26 bonus cards, but they may be split across multiple shrinkwrapped decks of cards. Have you opened and looked at all cards (even the Automa cards, which may be back to back with the bonus cards)?
I love Wingspan, and play it both as a boardgame and on Steam.
I do wish, though, that there was a standalone European version, so when I play with young people they would see just familiar birds.
Absolutely love Wingspan, but I have a bone to pick. Why no AFRICAN expansion pack? Seems a bit discriminatory to me, especially since the whole rest of the world is covered by expansion sets, except Africa. We have some of the most amazing birds here in Africa! Please will you release an African Expansion Pack so us Africans also feel included? Thanks!

Thanks for your question! We actually greatly discourage the practice of trying to mimic our cardstock for counterfeit and intellectual property reasons. Fan-created cards must be clearly differentiated from official cards in multiple ways, including composition.
The best part on the digital version is when you highlight the bird it makes the actual bird sounds of that specific bird, and the animations are adorable. This game puts you into such a zen mood. I originally was recommended to this game from a guest that was out on one of the kayak tours I run and as we were talking about birds they were raving about this game as a must play. Being in the eco-tour industry this game is really top notch and has some fun educational aspects to it. Most board games that go digital seem to have a few glitches. We only noticed one that would pop up in a draw phase which was easy to back out of.
Hey Stonemaier, thoughts on birds in the next expansion that have their powers trigger at the end of each turn? or maybe a Game End bird that makes tucked cards/cached food/eggs worth more than 1 point?
Really looking forward to the possibility of new and more unique Round Goals and Bonus Cards in the next expansion that can really shake up the formula and change the outcome of a game in the last moments, fingers crossed for South America or Africa!
My 5 board for players are blank. There are not images. Is this supposed to be like that. All the instructions show images on the players boards.
Could you let me know if this is something wrong with the boards.

When you are playing with 2-5 people, how do turns work? Do you use all eight action cubes back-to-back, or does player 1 use one action cube, then 2, then 3,4,5, and then you loop back to player 1, who uses their second action cube? Does player one play eight cubes, then player 2 play eight cubes, and so on?
You take a turn, then the next player takes a turn, then the next player, and so on. A turn is to use 1 action token. You would have a to wait a long time between turns if a player were to take all 8 of their actions before you. :)
This game is incredible, I was gifted it for Christmas and have been playing the board game and the app lots! I work for a conservation non-profit in Canada, I think it would be really cool to some day see an invasive species version. So instead of creating a bird haven, your invasive species taking over habitats. Is there any sort of interest in this type of thing?

I received this game as a Christmas gift. My son and I played it last night and had a great time! I was disappointed that the plastic boxes for the food or eggs were broken when I opened the game, and several of the bags the pieces were in were shredded.
I have a question about expansions and goal cards. I know a fair number of the original goal cards would say that x% of birds met this requirement (e.g. birds with a body part in their name, 24% of birds). Is that still true when adding in the expansions?
We had a French foreign exchange student and we played this game with her while she was here in the U.S.A.
We would like to purchase the French version for her family in France. Could you please let me know where & how we could do that ?
Thanks Natalie! We thought about it, but we want to respect the many amazing third-party creators who have invested in wooden upgrades for Wingspan, so we have no plans to make our own. There are lots of options on places like Meeplesource, Top Shelf Gamer, and Etsy.
Hi Jamey, congratulations on what looks like a great game. As a birdlover i want to pass that on to future generations and thankfully my granddaughters are getting on board. I would like to get them the game, but have not found suggested ages for players of the game. Can you help? Tom R
Love the game. I guess there is going to be a large renaming of birds in North America. I would absolutely buy an updated set of cards. Especially if some of the proceeds went to support diversity in science.
The public plan for Wingspan has always been to release one expansion per continent. The next 5-6 years will see expansions for Antarctica, Africa, and Central & South America (in no particular order).
The cause of his blindness is brain damage. My son is not going to be able to play the games I enjoy with his older brother, but it still saddens me that so few games are accessible to those whose blindness is in their eyes.
Eagerly awaiting the FanPack which is in the mail. A couple of questions: were the birds chosen specifically for their aesthetics or to make a reasonable selection to use as a standalone game in addition to the art? And is there any information/data regarding adding cards back in to the fan pack to maintain the proper balance for bonus cards/EOR etc to play with more birds? Totally love the game and the production quality, and always looking for fun new ways to play it.
Hi, I believe this is a long shot, but it is worth asking =). I learned that there will be a 4th expansion coming out in roughly 2025. I was curious if you have any plans on running a Kickstarter campaign where we can buy the game with all expansions (+ extra content e.g. wood eggs, resources, etc.) in sort of collector/deluxe/anniversary box (similar to Everdell).
Hello! Loving the game. Have a question..the American White Pelican says to discard a fish and tuck two cards from the deck behind the bird. I did not have a fish but had two worms. Can I use the two worms as my fish and thus tuck the 2 cards? Thanks! Judy
I see that extra scorepads from Oceania are available for purchase. I have seen the file for the update Asia score sheet that includes nectar scoring. I was wondering if there is or if there will be a score pad available for purchase that would include Asia and nectar.
When I open the Wingspan Asia, I feel so exited to play with it. However, I found 1 dice and one back duet token ( the one like a noon ) are missing. Although I still can play it, it is so much inconvenient.
Btw, I am considering to buy 2 packs of Scythe $50 coins which I found it on MeepleSource. If I order the coins, can you send the Wingspan Asia missing pieces to me together? I can play for the delivery cost. What is the best solution on for my case.
