ISAIAH’S PROPHECY OF THE COMING MESSIAH, WHO CAME AND WILL COME AGAIN
THE SAVIOUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
MESSIAH WAS TO BE BORN OF VIRGIN WOMAN, MARY, AND HE WAS TO BE A MALE, AS THE SON OF GOD, AND THE SON OF MAN: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled this: Matthew 1:18-25 (18) NOW THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST WAS ON THIS WISE: When as his mother Mary was espoused (engaged) to Joseph, before they came together (had a sexual relationship), she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. (19) Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. (20) But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. (Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary through the miraculous conception of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God; therefore, He was sinless and became the acceptable sinless sacrifice for the sins of the world. YOUR SINS.) (21) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS (means the salvation of the Lord): for he shall save his people from their sins. (Contextually, Jesus came to save the Jew, His people. By way of application, He came to save all who are sinners, which would be everyone, for all have sinned. Now, therefore, Jesus came to save all through His sinless acceptable sacrifice of Himself, at the cross of Calvary. In which, He shed His sinless blood for all sins and supernatural arose from the grave to give all forgiveness, who repent towards Sovereign God of the practice of their sins and self-righteousness and, by faith, they personally receive the Saviour Lord Jesus Christ into their lives. Whereby, such faith follows Jesus Christ, as their Saviour, God, and Lord, according to the Spirit and the absolute authority of the Scriptures.) (22) Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, (23) Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Jesus Christ was God incarnated. In other words, Jesus Christ was one hundred percent, God, Who was spiritually, scriptural, and supernatural infused in the sinless virgin-born man named Jesus, to be the reflection of God to man, an example of the perfect man to imperfect sinful man, and Who became sin for us at the cross of Calvary that we might, by faith, receive eternal life, the forgiveness of sins, and newness of an abundant eternal earthly life.) (24) Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: (25) And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (Jesus, Who brings the Lord’s salvation was the first born of the Virgin Mary and was the only begotten Son of God. He was the unique one in the sense that He was the sinless acceptable sacrifice, Who shed His sinless blood, and supernatural arose from the grave to give all, who receive Him, by faith, into their lives the gift of eternal life, the forgiveness of their sins, and newness of an eternal earthly abundant life. As the Son of God the Saviour Lord Jesus Christ was God incarnated in a sinless man, known as the son of man; by which, he became the sinner’s substitute at the cross of Calvary. Whereby, again, He sacrificed His life, shed His sinless blood for our sins, and supernaturally arose from the grave to give all, who believe eternal life, the forgiveness of sins, and newness of an eternal earthly abundant life.)
MESSIAH WAS TO BE THE RULER OVER MAN: …and the government shall be upon his shoulder… The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ will fulfil this prophecy when He comes again to establish His kingdom on earth: Revelation 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. (Even so, Come, Lord Jesus. Amen!)
MESSIAH SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL: …and his name shall be called Wonderful… The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ did wonderful things and was wonderful: Matthew 21:15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the WONDERFUL THINGS that he did … (There is nothing too hard for Lord if it is within the sovereign will of God.)
MESSIAH SHALL BE CALLED COUNSELOR: …Counsellor… The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ was a wise counselor or teacher/preacher towards others regarding the things that pertained to Himself and the heavenly Father: Matthew 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, HE TAUGHT THEM in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
MESSIAH SHALL BE CALLED THE MIGHTY GOD: The mighty God... The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ shall come again revealing that He is our mighty God and Saviour. Titus 2:13-14 (13) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of THE GREAT (mighty) GOD and OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST; (14) Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
MESSIAH SHALL BE CALLED THE EVERLASTING FATHER: The everlasting Father… The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ testified in John 14:7-11 (7) IF YE HAD KNOWN ME, YE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO: AND FROM HENCEFORTH YE KNOW HIM, AND HAVE SEEN HIM. (8) Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. (9) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (10) Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (11) Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
MESSIAH SHALL BE CALLED THE PRINCE OF PEACE: …the Prince of Peace. The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ is the giver of God’s supernatural peace, as being the One, Who such peace is found, by faith, being personified in and through Him: John 14:27 PEACE I leave with you, my PEACE I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ is supernatural peace personified and it is such supernatural peace, He imparts to those in need that receive such, by faith.)
MESSIAH, THE SAVIOUR LORD JESUS CHRIST awaits right now at the door of your heart, lives, if you have not started to repent of the practice of sin and self-righteousness towards sovereign God and, by faith, receive the Saviour Lord Jesus Christ into your life, by grace, through faith. Right now hear His voice through the Spirit and Scriptures desirous to come into your life, as your Saviour, God, and Lord. All you have to do is ask Him to come in and save you, by faith. In which, such faith will compel you to follow Him, according to the Spirit and the Scriptures all the days of your life.
Whether you are a sinner-unbeliever needing to be eternally saved right now or a saint-believer out of spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural fellowship with the Saviour Lord Jesus Christ right now respond in repentance and faith to the Saviour Lord Jesus Christ knocking at the door of your heart right now: Revelation 3:20 Behold, I (The Saviour Lord Jesus Christ) stand at the door (of your heart, your life), and knock: if any man hear my voice (through the Spirit and the Scriptures), and open the door (through repentance of the practice of sin and self-righteousness towards Sovereign God and faith towards the Saviour Lord Jesus Christ) I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me (The idea here is a spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural eternal relationship and earthly fellowship).
