upcoming 4.4 release

I think we have collected enough unreleased changes to warrant doing another release, version 4.4.  I will documented the set of changes for the proposed 4.4 release (partially done) at:

https://github.com/functionaljava/functionaljava/blob/master/etc/release-notes/release-notes-4.4.adoc

If there are no objections I will do the release early next week, most likely on Monday (time permitting).  Let me know if there is anything pressing you think should be included in the release.
