Hi guys.
The latest version of FJ (3.0) was released in 2010 (at least that what the page and maven repos are telling me).
Are there any plans to release new versions or is this project dead?

I wouldn't say it's dead, but since none of the principal contributors
have been using Java for the past couple of years, there hasn't been
much development on it beyond a few bug-fixes here and there. Is there
anything specific that you want in a new version?

How do you release teh bugfixes then?
I'm sure I could come up with some feature requests, like more functional stuff in maps, building maps from Iterable<P2>, transforming whole maps (keys and values), etc.
The project is pretty awesome, but if it's not actively developed then some other project will surpass it eventually in terms of features, usability of API etc.

I haven't seen another project that is so compact and has so many powerful and useful features, but if another project surpassed it, wouldn't that be a good thing?

In the meantime, this is the best functional library I've seen -- maybe the project leaders would like to transfer the reigns to some heavy users and bugfixers...

I have published the latest version to
http://code.google.com/p/functionaljava/downloads

I don't know how to publish to Maven repos, somebody else needs to
take care of that.

Hey Runar,

If you want, I'll do the release to central tonight.

Regards,
Gary

The artifact has been deployed. Should be available on central as soon
as the propagation is complete.

Apologies - something went wrong with the deploy.

I'll try sort it out now (I believe there was a step that I missed).

Hi all,

I just got confirmation that the artifact has been promoted to
central. It should be there in a couple of hours (or a day)

Btw, I just implemented this functionality (building maps from an Iterable of P2s and converting to collections of P2s) and submitted a pull request.
Let me know what you think.

     Cheers
