Dear Miles and all at Functional Brighton,

My name's Charlotte, and I'm emailing about Festival of the Spoken
Nerd, the trio of insatiably sci-curious comedians coming to a theatre
near you.

The Nerds are touring from September to December with an all-new night
of wit and wonder: “Just For Graphs”. Expect stand-up mathematics,
scientifically accurate songs and even a few charts on fire in a
spectacular graphic finale - where the audience become a giant musical
instrument, complete with retro fax machine solo.

Their 2014 “Full Frontal Nerdity” tour got rave reviews from nerds and
non-nerds alike, and is available now on DVD and download:

**** “Great, funny, clever... even the heckles at this terrific show
are smart” - The Scotsman

**** “The nerd show to end all nerd shows” - The List

This new show for 2015 is another great night of entertainment and
we’re hoping to “spread the nerd” far and wide.

The closest dates to you are:

Wednesday 14 October, De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill

and

Saturday 24 October, Corn Exchange, Brighton

We’d love the venue to be filled with people who appreciate a unique
mixture of comedy, theatre and unashamed nerdiness, and we hope you’ll
join us: a trip to the show would be a great social event for your
society. Full details are below: do feel free to cut, paste or forward
this email to any colleagues, friends and family who may like to hear
about it.

The full “Just For Graphs” tour schedule with tickets links and
interactive map is here, and I’ve put more about the show below to
make it easy to pass on the information.

Please note that the show is only suitable for ages 15+ as it contains
some strong language and plenty of graph-ic material.

Thanks very much!

Charlotte,

Production Assistant, Festival of the Spoken Nerd

The science comedy phenomenon are back, and this time they’re Off The Chart!

Following their sell-out 2014 tour “Full Frontal Nerdity”, Festival of
the Spoken Nerd are on the road again this Autumn with graph-a-minute
fun on an unprecedented linear scale.

Stand-up mathematician Matt Parker (BBC2 Things You Need To Know,
Discovery Channel You Have Been Warned) experiments maestro Steve
Mould (ITV I Never Knew That About Britain, BBC The One Show) and
geeky songstress Helen Arney (BBC Radio4 Infinite Monkey Cage, BBC2
Coast) mix astonishing science with statistically significant comedy –
and maybe a few things that go BANG!

In this all-new show for 2015 you’ll find mind-blowing mathematics,
scientifically accurate songs and even a few charts on fire in a
spectacular graphic finale - where the audience become a giant musical
instrument, complete with retro fax machine solo.

With over a million views on YouTube for their experiments, songs and
stand-up, this is your chance to see the “resplendently geeky trio”
(The Times) Excel themselves in an unforgettable night of comedy and
curiosity. Will they stay on trend, or lose the plot completely?

Recommended age 15+. Contains strong language and graph-ic material.
