October is  a very special month as Dipavali,  Govardhan Puja  will be celebrated with great devotion and splendor. 

This month is known as Kartika or Damodara month. 

Everyday evening an offering of lights (deep dan) is made to Sri Radha-Govindji at your Funabori Temple.

To the sweet singing of Damodarastakam kirtan and harinam, it is a soulful experience to have darshan of Lordships and offer a lamp.

Please find below , the schedule for Diwali and Govardhan Puja Program this week @ Hare Krishna Temple - Funabori.

Program Schedule :

10.30 AM onwards - Hare krishna Kirtan 

12​:​30 PM ~ 01.00 PM : Raaj-bhoga Arati

​0​1​:​00 PM ~ 2.00 PM : Katha / Spiritual discourse on Diwali and Kartik Month with Japanese Translation

2.00 PM ~ 3.00 PM : Prasadam serving at the Vedic Culture Center

4.00 PM onwards : Govardhan preparations and kirtan in temple hall  (Govardhan hill made of sweets will be worshipped)

5.30 PM ~ 5.45 PM : Damodar Ashtakam presentation by VCS students in Temple Hall

6.00 PM ~ 7.00 PM : Govardhan puja and arati 

7.00 PM ~ 7.40 PM : Gaura Arati and special Deepawali Darshan

7.40 PM ~ 8.00 PM : Damodar Ashtakam Prayers and Candle Offering

8:00 PM onwards   : Prasadam at VCC

8.50 ~ 9.00 PM : Shayan Darshan

9.30 PM on wards - Cleaning and Wrap up

Special request -

We request all interested guests to please prepare 15 - 20 pieces of sweets or salty dry items to help in the preparation and offering for Govardhan.

The items may kindly be brought in to temple by 3PM.
